As always, there are options about how to envision and execute a production based on a budget. Your average Biography can be done inexpensively in documentary style with a one or two person crew. We can also pull together a fully crewed green screen or multi-cam studio, as well as a location crew equipped to handle a fully realized dramatic narrative (with some limitations).

At any size or configuration, if the budget is effected, there will be considerations about length, travel, licensing, staging, casting and special effects. These options will only be used as necessary to realize your vision.

Each project will be discussed at some length before proceeding, to come to a clear agreement about how your expectations will be executed through a carefully constructed process that might include any of the following elements…

GATHER MEDIA & OBJECTS
With your help, and those we interview, we’ll gather up all the photos, videos, letters, momentos, gifts, artwork, memorabilia or whatever can be obtained that helps to visualize and feel the story.

INTERVIEWS
Sit down with the the relevant witnesses to tell the story: The Subject, Family Members, Colleagues, Friends, Experts, even Celebrities, as well as whoever else it takes to get all the angles required to properly tell the story.

FOLLOW
The Cinema Verite part of the shooting, where we follow the action to see where it leads.
If it’s an EVENT, we’ll cover it from conception through the aftermath.
If it’s a BIO, we’ll follow the subject at work, engaged in a hobby, shopping, telling a favorite joke. Each one is unique.

STAGING
If you’re making a FANTASY BIO, putting you or others into scenes from the past or a current newsworthy event, that requires a green screen studio.

If it’s a WEBISODE or a VIDEO BLOG, that might require a great location or a set, maybe some vehicles and props.

CASTING
If you want to do a recreation, or a fictional account of your life or anything at all. You’ll need actors.

The options go from free to more expensive…
• Friends
• Non-Union Actors
• Union Actors (with waivers)
• Bonafide Experts
• Celebrities

In addition to actual editing, some extras might include, stock footage/music licensing fees and some special effects. Most of what you might want can be done right in our Shelter Island office.
